Wednesday, May 16, 2007 May 16, 2007 Lipscomb University golf coach Buddy Harston has announced the signing of Andrew Brock from McMinnville, Tenn. Brock, 6-foot-1, finished third in the TSSAA State Tournament in 2006, one stroke behind the first and second place finishers. Brock shot a two-under par 142 for the tournament at Murfreesboro's Old Fort Golf Course. Brock won the Region 4-AAA title with a 70. He tied with Murfreesboro Riverdale's Jason Millard for the lead, winning the tournament in a playoff. He was also an All-Region second-team selection by the Tennessean. He helped led the Warren County High School golf team to the 2006 District Runner-Up spot and the team's first Regional since 1993. He was named "Most Popular" male student at Warren County High School fro 2006-2007. He also is a three-time winner of the Edith Goody Golf Award. Brock is undecided on his major. He is the son of Jill and Greg Brock. He has an older brother, Barrett. |
