A sunny Sunday afternoon wasn't so bright for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons soccer team.
Injuries and depth problems continued to plague the team as they fell 5-0 to visiting Murray State.
"We just got outplayed," said Lipscomb coach Jenger Parrish. "I have six upperclassmen and four of them are hurt. Injuries are playing a big part in this. But we also have to come to play and we didn't."
Krista Llewellyn scored a pair of first period goals at 41:18 and 44:01 to give Murray State a 2-0 lead at the half. In the second period Rebekah Clay scored a pair of goals at 84:18 and 85:39 and also assisted on a third Kara Carlyle at 75:24. Clay also assisted on the second goal by Llewellyn.
Murray State posted 26 shots to three by the Lady Bisons. Murray State also had 18 shots on goal while the Lady Bisons were credited with three with one each by Emily Quandt. Leisli Lopez and Sarah Brummett.
Murray State had four corner kicks. The Lady Bisons had one.
The Lady Bisons 1-8. Murray State is 3-3-1.
