The Lipscomb Lady Bisons cross country team finished seventh in the 12-team Belmont Opener Sept. 12 at Percy Warner Park in Nashville.
Alabama-Birmingham finished first followed by Tennessee (second), Georgia Tech (third), host Belmont (fourth), Vanderbilt (fifth) and Alabama (sixth).
Finishing behind the Lady Bisons were Murray State (eighth), Austin Peay (ninth), Middle Tennessee (10th), Alabama State (11th) and Crichton (12th).
Susan Worden was the top finisher for the Lady Bisons in 32nd place with a time of 15:12.56 on the 4-K course. Samantha Wood was close behind in 34th with a time of 15:16.35.
Elizabeth Schall finished 38th (15:32.37), Shannon Shoemake was 49th (15:51.42), Amanda Tanner was 58th (16:14.69), Anna Day was 62nd (16:25.16), Carolyn Latham was 63rd (16:23.99) and Julie Alley was 65th (16:25.65).
There were 114 runners in the field.
