NASHVILLE - While neither Lipscomb nor Bowling Green State played their best Thursday night, Bowling Green State capitalized on Lipscomb's 27 turnovers en route to a 54-42 victory over Lipscomb.
Lipscomb struggled from the floor shooting 26.5% on 13 of 49 shooting including 18.5% second half shooting. The Lady Bisons were 4 of 16 from behind the arch and 12 of 19 from the charity line.
Bowling Green State, a Sweet Sixteen team last year, shot 19 of 59 from the field for 32.2% including 2 of 11 from downtown. They were 14 of 17 from the free throw line.
Jillian Partin and Nix grabbed 7 rebounds each to lead Lipscomb. Lipscomb out-rebounded Bowling Green State 45 to 36.
Lauren Prochaska led Bowling Green State with 20 points. Kate Achter contributed 14 points.
Lipscomb falls to 1-3 while Bowling Green State improves to 2-0.
The Lady Bisons have a week to prepare before the opening round of the Hawaii Tournament. Lipscomb faces off against Hawaii on Friday, November 23 at 3:10 p.m. Central Time. Semifinal action follows on Saturday and the final round on Sunday.
