Wednesday, July 15, 2009Michael Knox, a member of the Lipscomb University track and field team, has been named to the 2009 Division I Men’s All-Academic Track and Field team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Knox, a sophomore sprinter from Chattanooga, Tenn., was one of a record total of 327 student-athletes selected, representing 107 NCAA Division I schools. He is majoring in Kinesiology.
To qualify for the team a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met either the NCAA Division I Indoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard or the NCAA Division I Outdoor regional or national qualifying standard in their respective event.
