The Lipscomb Bisons track & field team finished eighth in NCAA Division I in the list of Indoor and Outdoor Scholar Teams of the Year announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

The Bisons team grade point average was 3.230. DePaul led the nation with a 3.419 GPA.

The award is based on a combination of academic and athletic achievements. The top honor goes to the team that has the combination of best overall finish at the respective Division I Indoor and Outdoor National Championships and cumulative grade point average.

To be nominated, a team must have carried a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.
