Wittler signs to play golf for Bisons

Lipscomb University Bisons’ golf coach Buddy Harston has signed Kyle Wittler from Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Wittler, 5-foot-9, was named to the Chattanooga Times Free Press Best of the Preps as both a junior and a senior. He played golf at Notre Dame for four years.

He was the team captain for 2009-2010 and the team most valuable player for 2009-2010.

In 2008 and 2009 Notre Dame won both the district and regional championships.

In 2009 he was the District champion. He was second In the Region Tournament, shooting one-under par. In the TSSAA state tournament he finished 11th.

Wittler finished 12th in the state in 2008 as a junior. He tied for the 15th best score in the state tournament as a sophomore.

His parents are Molly and Kenneth Wittler. They live in Signal Mountain.
