Friday, November 26, 2010 The Game The Lipscomb University Bisons travel to Martin, Tenn., seeking their first road victory of the season as they face the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks Saturday at 4 p.m. in the Elam Center. Lipscomb plays four of its nine non-conference games against Ohio Valley Conference schools. This is the first meeting between the two schools since UT Martin defeated the Bisons 99-90 in Allen Arena on Dec. 7, 2002. The Skyhawks lead the overall series 12-9. Lipscomb lost to No. 12 Baylor Monday evening 72-60 in Waco, Texas. Junior forward Jordan Burgason paced the Bisons with 15 points. Baylor’s length proved too much in the paint and LaceDarius Dunn hit four threes in a two-minute stretch to open the second half creating an insurmountable lead. Dunn finished with seven 3-pointers.
UT Martin fell to No. 14 Memphis on Tuesday 102-80. Senior guard Reuben Clayton led the Skyhawks with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Clayton is the leading scorer for UT Martin at 19.8 points per game and leading rebounder at 6.8 boards per contest.

Adnan Hodzic and Josh Slater are quickly moving up the Lipscomb NCAA-era scoring charts:
Josh Slater has more games with at least 15 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists than any other active player in the nation. Hodzic scored 33 points and grabbed 16 rebounds for his second 30-point, 15-rebound game of his career against Austin Peay. He scored 37 points and pulled down 17 rebounds against Mercer to close out the 2009-10 regular season. No other active player in the A-Sun owns a 30-point, 15-rebound game. Hodzic is the only player in the country will multiple 30-point, 15-rebound games during his career. |
