NASHVILLE – Former Lipscomb basketball coach Don Meyer and ESPN’s Buster Olney will host a book signing for Olney’s book “How Lucky You Can Be: The Story of Coach Don Meyer” on Saturday, Dec. 18 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Lipscomb’s Allen Arena.
There will also be a luncheon with Meyer and Olney at noon on Friday, Dec. 17 in McQuiddy Gym. The cost of the luncheon is $10. Please RSVP to Brent High at email@example.com.
The Lady Bisons and Bisons basketball teams host Kennesaw State in a conference matchup on Saturday. The women are scheduled to tip at 6 p.m. with the men to follow in the nightcap. Fans buying or bringing copies of the book to be signed will be admitted to the game for free along with their families/friends.
The Lipscomb Bookstore will be selling copies of the book at both events for $22 including tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.
Meyer, who coached at Lipscomb from 1975 to 1999, is the winningest men’s basketball coach in NCAA history. He recently retired from Northern State University. Meyer was involved in a serious car accident in September 2008 in which he lost one of his legs and doctors subsequently discovered cancer in his liver and intestines during emergency surgery.
