Middle Tennessee's Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-off Breakfast will be Tuesday, Nov. 1, in Lipscomb's Allen Arena. The breakfast will feature all six NCAA Division I basketball coaches from the area including Lipscomb coach Scott Sanderson.
In addition to Sanderson, participating coaches include Belmont's Rick Byrd, Vanderbilt's Kevin Stallings, Tennessee State's John Cooper, MTSU's Kermit Davis, and Austin Peay's Dave Loos. Local sports personality George Plaster will emcee the event.
Registration and breakfast begins at 7 a.m. and the program starts at 7:30 a.m. on the Allen Arena court. Tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for college students. They can be purchased through the Nashville Sports Council by clicking here or by calling 615-341-7330.
The event is the morning of the Bisons' exhibition game against Freed-Hardeman which tips at 6:30 p.m.
The American Cancer Society’s Coaches vs. Cancer program is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC). The program empowers athletic coaches, their teams, and communities to join in the fight against cancer and help raise awareness and funds through year-round educational efforts and fundraising activities.
