Lipscomb junior Deonte Alexander was recently recognized by Sporting Newsas one of the top-20 junior college transfers in the nation. He was named to the All-East team.

Alexander joins the Bisons this year after averaging 17 points at East Mississippi Community College last year. He scored 952 points in his two years at EMCC.

Alexander, a Nashville native out of Glencliff High School, was named an honorable mention All-American by the National Junior College Athletic Association. He was a two year starter at EMCC where he led them to a 52-12 record and two appearances in the national tournament.
