MACON, Ga. – Atlantic Sun Conference Commissioner Ted Gumbart today announced that the conference has engaged The Global Impact Group (GIG), to team with the A-Sun in building its corporate partner program.
The Global Impact Group is a full service, integrated marketing and media company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. GIG, Inc. has offices in three states and is comprised of four distinct business units (Media, Sports & Entertainment, Direct, and Sales and Consulting) that can operate independently or as a whole depending on client needs or objectives.
“We are pleased to be expanding the A-Sun team by adding a very strong partner in corporate development,” said Gumbart. “Jim Heilman and his staff have proven experience with institutional and conference relationships and understand how to fully develop the A-Sun assets in the marketplace. This is an important step in building partnerships that will continue to promote the outstanding universities and student-athletes in the A-Sun.”

Heilman brings more than 20 years of diverse media and marketing experience ranging from large agency work to broadcast and publishing sales, as well as digital production ranging from web development to TV/radio spot production and syndication development and sales. He has worked with accounts/brands such as Stouffer/Nestle, American Greetings, HGTV, Sherwin Williams, Smuckers, UPS, HBO and Fox networks. In the sports industry he has worked with numerous professional and collegiate teams and conferences including: the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State University, the Mid-American Conference, Georgia Tech, the Atlanta Hawks, and networks such as ESPN, Fox Sports, and Sporting News Radio.
