NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women’s basketball team is set to host their annual “Think Pink” night to raise breast cancer awareness on Feb. 16 hosting ETSU at 6:30 p.m. at Allen Arena.
Festivities will begin earlier in the day with a rally at Bison Square along with a corn hole tournament that runs from Noon to 2 p.m. Then Lipscomb students can take part in a tailgate outside Allen Arena beginning at 4:30 p.m. featuring free burgers and hot dogs. There will also be a chance to donate to “Locks of Love” and for guys to have their heads buzzed to help raise awareness for cancer research.
During the game, there will be 500 t-shirts given away to the first students through the doors as well as gift card and weekend getaway giveaways. There will also be a scholarship opportunity thanks to the Global Learning department.
The night also features a chance to win a framed Lipscomb basketball jersey when purchasing tickets with all proceeds going directly to cancer research.
The contest is also part of the NCAA “Pack the House” initiative where schools compete to become the 2012 “Pack the House” champion for increasing attendance. All 10 Atlantic Sun Conference teams are participating this season .
