NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After spending the last two weekends on the road the Lipscomb baseball team returns home on Thursday night to host a three-game, non-conference set against Campbell beginning at 6 p.m. at Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium.
In their first season in the Big South Conference, the Camels (32-10) have made a dramatic turnaround from their 17-37 finish a year ago leading the nation in hits with 480 and ranking second in runs scored with 331. The Bisons (18-23) are slated to send redshirt-freshman Will Blalock (1-1, 2.67 ERA) to the hill on Thursday night against Campbell senior righty Matt Sergey (5-0, 3.48 ERA), who is unbeaten on the season and leads the Camels with 60 strikeouts.
Friday night’s 6 p.m. contest will see Lipscomb senior right-hander Connor Sinclair (5-3, 3.09 ERA) head to the hill for his 11th start of the season matching up against Campbell senior righty Frank Zier (3-1, 3.12 ERA).
Lipscomb junior southpaw Blake Fonfara (2-5, 4.78 ERA) will get the nod on Saturday for the Bisons. His opponent is still to be announced by the Camels.
