Friday, September 21, 2012 TOLEDO, Ohio -- The Lipscomb Lady Bisons cross country team faced some of the top teams in the nation and finished 12th as a team Friday night in the Toledo Bubble Buster in Toledo, Ohio. Butler won the event followed by San Francisco, Columbia, Toledo and Syracuse in the top five in the 4-K race. Freshman Madeline Talbert was top finisher for the Lady Bisons, placing 60th with a time of 14:14.3 in a field of 172 runners. Junior Tessa Hoefle placed 86th with a time of 14:27.4 followed by sophomore Maggie Lawrence in 87th with a 14:27.6. Also in the top 100 for the Lady Bisons were sophomore Dani Walker (89th, 14:28.6), sophomore Kendra Lobley (96th, 14:35.2) and junior Alex Newby (99th, 14:36.4). Rounding out the finishers for Lipscomb were sophomore Renee Menzie (114th, 14:50.2), sophomore Minna Fields (116th, 14:52), junior Missy Dowd (122nd, 14:56.3), sophomore Kaitlyn Llewellyn (128th, 15:02.9), sophomore Kayla Droessler (133rd, 15:08.1), freshman Hannah Munyan (134th, 15:09), junior Emily Longden (136th, 15:10.3), junior Amanda Twigg (145th, 15:19.1), sophomore Lana Hojeij (155th, 15:34.7), junior Katie Bunker (164th, 15:56.4), freshman Makenna Rickner (166th, 15:58.3) and freshman Alex Tate (167th, 16:00.7).
