NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Hitting the road for the first time this season in Atlantic Sun Conference play, the Lipscomb women’s soccer team travels to Florida for a pair of A-Sun contests. The Lady Bisons face Florida Gulf Coast on Friday at 6 p.m. and Stetson University on Sunday at noon.

The Lady Bisons dropped a pair of games this past weekend, 3-2 against North Florida and 2-1 against Jacksonville. Baylee Linnell scored two goals and added an assist for LU while Caroline Chadwell scored her first career goal against North Florida.

Lipscomb held leads of 1-0 and 2-1 over North Florida but were shot down in the 84th minute with an 18-yard goal. Goalkeeper Erin Zerio stopped 10 shots that came her way, her second game of 10 saves or more in the Lady Bisons last four games. Chadwell and Linnell connected with each other for both goals as Chadwell assisted Linnell, then vice-versa, for the second goal.

LU fought back in the contest against Jacksonville despite being outshot 19 to 7. Linnell scored her second goal of the weekend just in the outset of the second half, which held to force overtime. In the second overtime, Jacksonville used a set-play off a corner kick to take the win.
