Bisons hold lead after first round of Grover Page Classic

JACKSON, Tenn. - The Lipscomb Bisons have finished the first round of the Grover Page Classic in first place.

There are 18 more holes left to play today at the Jackson Country Club. The course has been extremely wet and the golfers have battled cold and windy conditions all day.

Blanton Farmer leads the field after the first 18 holes with a score of 68. Ryan Terry is tied for second after shooting a 71.

Paul Kleine-Kracht is also in the top 10. He is tied for ninth with a 74.

Rounding out the scoring for the Bisons are Dustin Wilder and Nathan Mueting, who are tied for 40th after each shot a 79.

The team score for the Bisons for 18 holes was 292, five strokes ahead of Tennessee-Martin, the tournament’s host team.
The tournament is 54 holes with the final 18 to be played Tuesday.

Other schools in the field are Union, Murray State, Southern Illinois, Tennessee Tech, Morehead State, Tennessee State, John A. Logan Community College, Trevecca Nazarene, Jackson State and Bethel College.
