JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The red-hot Lipscomb men’s tennis team had their four-game win streak doused by No. 74 ETSU in a 7-0 road loss.
The Bisons (7-9) didn’t post up a victory in neither singles nor doubles.
Lipscomb coach Andrew Harris said he felt that a different energy level affected the way the Bisons played in the doubles.
“Certainly, the guys were hoping to look at getting on top of doubles early,” Harris said. “I don’t think the energy level was at the level that we were accustomed to having, and when you’re playing against a good team like that, there’s no margin for error. So, you can’t give up anything.
“So, I think we need to do a better job Saturday against USC Upstate, starting off with better energy, and be sharp in the doubles.”
Harris said he also hopes that the singles play can be improved for Saturday’s away match against USC Upstate.
