The Lipscomb men’s soccer team travels to face Missouri State at 2 p.m. on Sunday in its last non-conference match before Atlantic Sun play.
The Bisons (3-4-1) are coming off a disappointing 2-1 loss to Georgia State on Thursday. The Panthers scored two goals early in the first half and never looked back.
Junior midfielder, Omar Djabi scored in the 82nd minute to cut the Panthers lead to one, but the Bisons could not find an equalizer and lost their second consecutive game.
Missouri State (4-2-1) is coming off a 1-0 loss at Oral Roberts on Wednesday.
Emmerich Hoegg leads the Bears with two goals on the season, while James Routledge’s two assists are tops on the team.
Trevor Spangenberg is credited with all decisions in the net for the Bears, including three shutouts.
Next up for Lipscomb is the preseason Asun winner, Florida Gulf Coast. The Bisons will travel to Ft. Meyers, Fla., to begin conference play next Friday for a 6 p.m. kick off. The Eagles are 1-5-1 on the season and matchup with Princeton on Sunday.
