CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - The Lipscomb women’s golf team finished round one of the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate with a combined score of 328.
In a 14 team field, the Lady Bisons ended day one in 11th.
Of the five golfers competing in team play for Lipscomb, four finished inside the top 50.
Morgan Bucher paced the team with a 79 and is tied for 22nd.
Sami Khan, Miriam Parker and MacKenzy Carter are all tied for 49th overall after shooting an 83.
Savanna Schubert entered the clubhouse with an 89 in round one. She is tied for 74th.
Playing as individuals, Sabrina Ferreri (83) and Sarah McFarlin (88) round out the Lady Bisons in Clarksville.
The leader after day one is Murray State. The Racers’ shot a combined total of 296 (+8) and leads the field by four strokes. The 296 is the lowest team single-round total when being played at Clarksville Country Club in tournament history.
Low round of the day belonged to Delaney Howson of Murray State with a six-under, 66. That score tied the lowest single round score in tournament history. It was one of only two rounds under par.
The second and final round begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
