NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After being the first Atlantic Sun Conference school to produce on-campus productions for ESPN3 in 2012-13, the Lipscomb video production team is set to again be a leader in 2013-14 with two dozen basketball games set to air live from Allen Arena this season.
Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be featured on 15 ESPN3 telecasts in all as Florida Gulf Coast and Kennesaw State will debut their on-campus productions this season as part of the A-Sun’ s partnership with ESPN.
The broadcast slate featuring all 12 home games for Lipscomb kicks off on Nov. 8 as the Bisons host rival Belmont in the 133rd installment of the “Battle of the Boulevard”. The Lady Bisons regular season slate starts on Nov. 10 against Morehead State that will also start the broadcast season.
Along with the 15 contests on ESPN3, the Bisons are set to be featured in three additional linear broadcasts beginning with the Nov. 29 contest at Big East foe Georgetown that airs on Fox Sports Net from Washington, D.C. Both contests against Northern Kentucky will air on CSS as part of the A-Sun’s “Friday Night Game of the Week” package.
In all, 120 regular season A-Sun basketball games, 65 men’s and 55 women’s, will be available on ESPN3. The Atlantic Sun was the first to adopt the conference-wide, on-campus production model resulting in a 300 percent increase in television-caliber live productions since 2011.
ESPN’s live multi-screen sports network is accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app and through ESPN on Xbox LIVE.
