JACKSON, Tenn. – The Bisons golf team looks to have found their stroke after the first two rounds of the Grover Page Classic, leading the 13-team field by three strokes with a 567 team total (285-282).
Four of the five Bisons golfers finished the first day of play in the top 10.
Caston Roberts is just one stroke off the lead after firing rounds of 70-68 (138).
Paul Klein-Kracht was the overall leader after round one with a low round of 69. He came back with a 73 in round two. His 142 puts Klein-Kracht in a tie for third overall.
Sydney Chung carded a 71-72 on Monday and is tied for sixth with a two-round total of 143.
Stoney Crouch, coming off his best tournament of his young career, is tied for 10th with rounds of 76-69 (145).
Senior Dustin Wilder fired a 152 with a 75-77. He enters the final round tied for 39th.
“The team processed very well today,” Lipscomb coach and Director of Golf Will Brewer said. “We were committed to focusing on staying in the moment and it proved to be a growing experience for the team.
“Our goal is two thirds complete. We have an opportunity to grow. I am confident we are going down a good track.”
The third and final round begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
