John Friend (left) is technically retired but he still serves as a consultant and chief fundraiser for the athletics department at Purdue-Calumet. He played basketball at Lipscomb, but is known throughout the country as a top football coach and is a frequent speaker at clinics.

Ernie Smith (right), a former Lipscomb baseball player, is one of eight new members of the TSSAA Hall of Fame. He has been coaching at Lipscomb Academy for 38 years and has guided his baseball and girls basketball teams to eight combined state titles. He is pictured above with his son, Keith (left).

Katherine (Neely) Murrie, a former NAIA National Champion golfer for Lipscomb University, has been named to the first ever Logan County (Kentucky) High School Cougar Athletic Foundation Hall of Fame. She took time to talk with in this week's edition of "Where are they now?"

Jessica Turner Anderson was a member of the 2007 Lipscomb volleyball team, the first to ever participate in the NCAA Tournament. She graduated from Lipscomb with a major in marketing and a minor in graphic design.

Heather Douglas Carter was an outstanding basketball player for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons in the late 90's. As a staff member with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) she returns to campus and Allen Arena for the Division 2 basketball championships.

Lauren Wilson was an all-conference center fielder for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons softball team. She earned her share of honors on the field and in the classroom during her time at Lipscomb. She also met her husband, Tyler, who was a member of the Lipscomb baseball team.

Joey Haines, a former T&F coach and athlete at Lipscomb, has been named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Coaches Hall of Fame. Haines started his coaching career at Lipscomb. He retired after 26 years as the T&F coach for both men’s and women’s teams at SEMO.

Christen Campbell was an A-Sun All-Conference performer for the Lipscomb Lady Bisons softball team. After graduating from Lipscomb with a bachelor's degree in exercise science she attended Cumberland University in Lebanon for two years and received a second bachelor's degree in nursing.
