For the third time in school history the Atlantic Sun Conference selected Lipscomb’s Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium to serve as the host site for the 2016 Atlantic Sun Baseball Championship May 25-28, announced by the league office on Tuesday.

The Chicago White Sox drafted Lipscomb shortstop Grant Massey with the seventh pick in the 26th round and the 772nd selection overall in the 2015 Major League Baseball Draft Wednesday. Massey becomes the 26th Bison in history be drafted.

The Lipscomb baseball team fell to No. 18 Radford, 5-2, in a NCAA Regional elimination game on Saturday afternoon at Hawkins Field. Lipscomb (39-20) saw its season come to an end with the loss, wrapping up a year that saw the Bisons set the school’s NCAA record for wins and claim the A-Sun title.

Allan Hooker led the charge going 3-for-3 at the dish and 4-RBI. Hooker delivered a 3-run homer in the fifth and a RBI-double in the sixth.
