The Lipscomb Lady Bisons won their 20th match in a row Tuesday night sweeping Austin Peay from the Ohio Valley Conference at Allen Arena.

The Lady Bisons, who lost only one set at Allen Arena this season and have not lost a home match, beat Austin Peay 25-13, 25-21 and 25-21.

This was the sixth straight time the Lady Bisons have beaten Austin Peay.

"There is an obvious challenge for motivation in a non-conference game" said coach Brandon Rosenthal. "Austin peay is a good representative of who we want to be playing. It's a little different playing a non-conference team but it fits in to what we want to do. We'll play anyone, anytime, anywhere."

Freshman outside hitter Kaycee Green made a match-high 16 kills to lead the Lady Bisons. She also recorded a .429 hitting percentage.

"Everybody is just getting a glimpse of Kaycee's potential," said Rosenthal. "I don't think she has even scratched the surface. I am proud of her, she works hard."

Junior middle hitter Alex Kelly made 13 kills and posted a .417 hitting percentage. She also had one service ace and a match-high 14 digs.

Sophomore libero Katie Rose was credited with 12 digs and one service ace.

Junior setter Stefine “Jake” Pease made 10 digs and 42 assists.

Senior Amy Trykowski had a .778 hitting percentage in the match.

"All the girls did a nice job," said Rosenthal. "It's about the team. We kind of let them back in a couple times, but ultimately we took care of business."

The Lady Bisons are 23-3 overall. Austin Peay, second in the OVC, fell to 19-7 overall.

Next the Lady Bisons will travel to Spartanburg, S.C. to face USC Upstate on Saturday at 2 p.m.

"We are going to take tomorrow off, give their bodies a rest and ultimately getting back into conference is the same," said Rosenthal. "We are looking to achieve something. The girls are focused on what they want. Upstate is the next step in getting what they want."
