Lipscomb split a softball doubleheader with Campbell on Friday night, ending an eight-game winning streak, but the Bisons were happy to see a more confident ace pitcher by the end of the night.

Lipscomb (18-12, 5-1 Atlantic Sun) won the first game 8-1, but lost the second game 5-3 at Draper Diamond. Whitney Kiihnl pitched in both games for Lipscomb, allowing only one run on six hits while striking out 11 in a complete game in the opener. In the second game, she pitched the final 12/3 innings, allowing one hit and striking out five.
