Final Stats

The Lady Bisons are seldom at a loss for offensive punch, but even though they connected for seven hits against Centenary they were only able to come up with one run in a 2-1 loss in eight innings.

The game Friday night was the second loss of the day for the Lady Bisons in the Buzz Tournament hosted by Georgia Tech.

The Lady Bisons scored in the first inning when Leigh Little, who had reached base on a single to center, scored on a fielder's choice to center field by Heather Collins.

Centenary tied the game in the fifth with a solo home run. They added the winning run in the eighth.

Freshman Christen Campbell went the distance for the Lady Bisons. She allowed eight hits, walked seven and struck out five.

Abby Keese had the only extra base hit for the Lady Bisons with a double. Campbell rapped a pair of singles, the only Lady Bisons hitter to have more than one hit.

The tournament continues Saturday.
