Lady Bisons add outfielder from Washington

Lipscomb University softball coach Kristin Peck has announced the signing of outfielder Mackenzie Tucker from Puyallup, Wash.

Tucker lettered three seasons as the starting center fielder at Gov. John R. Rogers High School. She was named to the 2007 South Puget Sound League's Senior All-Star Team. She was also a first team selection on the All-South Puget Sound League Team. She batted .467 her senior season with a .618 on-base percentage and a .622 slugging percentage.

In 2006 Tucker was second team selection on the All-South Puget Sound League Team. She was also named the "Most Inspirational" player on her team.

In 2005 she was also a second team pick for the All-South Puget Sound League Team.

Tucker won the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association Academic Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Tucker has also been active as a club team player. She is playing this year for the Washington Heat 18A. In 2006 she played for the Washington LadyHawks 18A, which won the Seattle/Tacoma Metro Championship which qualified the team for the ASA-18A Nationals in Owensboro, Ky.

In 2004 and 2005 Tucker played for the MsStix 16A. She served as co-captain in 2005.

She is the daughter of Kim Kennedy-Tucker and Mark Tucker, She has one brother, Eric, 21.
