Nashville - After dropping their season opener to UT Martin in the Georgia State First Pitch Classic, the Lady Bisons roared back into action, defeating preseason No. 18 Georgia Tech, 11-9. Shortstop Abby Keese lead the impressive Lady Bisons offense going three for three with 3 runs on 3 hits and 4 RBI's. Her three-run home run in the top of the sixth inning gave the Lady Bisons the win. Nine Lady Bisons totaled for thirteen hits. "I told our girls that to win a game against a team like Georgia Tech is so huge for our program. They need to be proud of how they worked," says head Coach Kristin Peck. " For us to battle back like we did really says a lot about this team, and our effort and our heart. I could not be more proud of them." The Lady Bisons who improve to 1-1 play host team Georgia State at 12:15 EST and in a tournament game to be determined. |
