Nashville, TN - Head coach Kristin Peck has been preaching to her team about having a killer instinct all season. The Lady Bisons displayed that killer instinct in their 11-1 win over Charleston Southern in five innings Wednesday afternoon.
The game was to be originally played on Tuesday evening as part of a double header but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
The Lady Bisons were lead by freshman catcher Katie Brokmeyer who went two for three with a three run homer, and five total RBI's; and sophomore shortstop Abby Keese who also went two for three with two home runs of her own and three RBI's.
Altogether, the Lady Bisons picked up nine hits.
Campbell turned in an impressive performance in the circle, pitching the complete game allowing two hits and no earned runs and only facing two more than the minimum number of batters.
"I think it's a huge momentum builder going into this weekend," said head coach Kristin Peck on the win. "It gives our girls confidence and shows them what they are capable of."
The Lady Bisons are now 6-9 and head to Auburn, Alabama for the weekend to play in the War Eagle Classic where they will take on Bowling Green, Tennessee Tech, Auburn and Georgia Southern in a five game tournament.
