Senior Kim Jacobson displayed her pitching prowess Friday afternoon striking out seven and walking three on the way to the Lady Bisons 4-0 victory over defending Atlantic Sun regular season champion Kennesaw State, Friday at Bailey Park in Kennesaw, Ga.

It as her fourth win in the last five outings and the Lady Bisons sixth in a row. Jacobson's record is 6-8 overall.

The Lady Bisons scored two runs in the first inning off a two-run homer to left center by sophomore designated player Kellie Sirus.

In the fifth inning Sirus added one more run, walking to leadoff the inning, and scoring on a groundout by sophomore shortstop Abby Keese two batters later.

Lipscomb would add one more run in the top of the sixth inning. Senior right fielder Sara Simons doubled to left field to score freshman leftfielder MacKenzie Tucker.

The Lady Bisons combined for eight hits including two from senior first baseman Heather Collins and a double each from Simons and Keese. Kellie Sirus finished the game with one hit, two runs and two RBI's.

The Lady Bisons improve to 21-21 overall and 10-5 in the conference. Game two of the doubleheader is set to start at 3:30 p.m.
