Game One

Game Two

The Lipscomb softball squad ended their regular season by honoring an outstanding class of Lady Bison seniors but were unable to pull out a win in either game of the twinbill against visiting Western Kentucky, Wednesday night at Draper Diamond.

The Lady Toppers used five home runs to win game one 6-1.

Lipscomb tallied seven hits in the game including two each from freshman second baseman Megan Rottler, and sophomore center fielder Lauren Dortwegt, but were only able to put together one run.

The sole run was scored by Rottler off an RBI single to left field by sophomore right fielder Kellie Sirus.

Junior Ryan Rogge pitched all seven innings for the Lady Toppers to take the win. Senior Kim Jacobson took the loss for the Lady Bisons.

The Lady Toppers jumped out to 3-0 lead in the third inning of the second game and added two more runs in the fourth inning.

Lipscomb fought back with Sirus and senior left fielder Sara Simons plating two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Lady Bisons comeback would fall short with junior Jennifer Kempf holding Lipscomb scoreless in the seventh inning.

The Lady Bisons fall to 29-24 on the season as they prepare to head to the 2008 Atlantic Sun Tournament at Patricia Wilson Field in DeLand, Fla. as the number one seed. Their first game is Thursday, May 8 at 10 a.m. against sixth seeded Gardner-Webb.
