MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb’s Whitney Kiihnl and Courtney Billington secured the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week awards with sweeps against Kennesaw State and Mercer this week. Kiihnl picked up two wins and a save against the Owls and Bears to pick up the Pitcher of the Week honor, while Billington posted two game-winning hits for Lipscomb to receive her first career A-Sun Player of the Week nod.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK:
Courtney Billington, Lipscomb (SS – Jr. – Mount Juliet, Tenn. – Biology)
- First Career A-Sun Player of the Week award
- Recorded game-winning hits against Kennesaw State and Mercer in back-to-back days
- Notched game-winning home run against the Owls in a 1-0 victory
- Edged the Bears with a RBI double to give the Lady Bisons the 1-0 advantage
- Only Lipscomb player to post multi-hit games in both games against Mercer

- Amanda Miller (SS, Campbell) – Had game-winning RBI in game two of ETSU doubleheader
- McKenzie Woody (OF, Mercer) – Swiped five bases on the week while batting .450
- Jessica Cross (DP/OF, Kennesaw State) – Hit two homers against Belmont in 9-0 win against Bruins
- Emily Lanier (C, FGCU) – Batted .583 on the week which included a three-run homer at UNF
- Kim Brasil (OF, USC Upstate) – Collected three RBI against the Camels on three hits
- Kelley Cash (OF, Belmont) – Drove in one run, scored once and recorded three hits

- Ninth Career A-Sun Pitcher of the Week; third this year
- Picked up two wins and a save in sweeps of Kennesaw State and Mercer
- Fanned 23 batters in 14.2 innings pitched with a 0.00 ERA
- Hurled a four-hit shutout against Kennesaw State in a 2-0 victory
- Clinched the Lady Bisons either a one or two seed in A-Sun Championship
