MACON, Ga. - Lipscomb's Kristen Sturdivant was named Atlantic Sun Softball Player of the Week. The conference office announced the award Monday.
Sturdivant led the Lady Bisons high-powered offense to a 4-0 week with three home runs and nine RBI. Sturdivant grabbed a .438 batting average in Lipscomb's perfect week of play.
She also had a 1.000 slugging percentage. Sturdivant, a senior from Bartlett, Tenn., has a four-game hitting streak.
This is Sturdivant’s first career A-Sun Player of the Week award.
The Lady Bisons are on the road for a single game March 20 at Chattanooga. They continue south to Georgia to face Kennesaw State in A-Sun play Saturday and Sunday.
