Rain forces cancellation of softball's Sunday finale at Upstate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Due to the rain that has already fallen and is expected for the remainder of the day in Spartanburg, Sunday's softball game between Lipscomb and USC Upstate has been canceled and the game will not be made up.

The Lady Bisons (23-23, 8-6) split with the league-leading Spartans (36-8, 15-2) in Saturday's doubleheader, taking game two 9-0 after Upstate won the series opener 10-5.

Lipscomb will return to action next weekend when Kennesaw State visits Draper Diamond at Smith Stadium for a doubleheader on Friday April 25. The day's first pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
