Lipscomb leads A-Sun Softball All-Academic Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Three Lipscomb Lady Bisons have been named to the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference Team.

Senior Paige Neely and juniors Brittany Elmore and Tanner Sanders were selected in a vote by the conference’s media relations personnel.

Elmore, a center fielder from Mount Juliet, Tennessee has a 3.87 grade point average in Interdisciplinary Teaching.  Sanders, a pitcher from Flintville, Tennessee, has a 3.86 in Interdisciplinary Teaching. Neely, from Nashville, has a 3.71 in Restorative Criminal Justice.

It is the second year in a row Elmore has been named to the Academic All-Conference Team.

The Lady Bisons are in Fort Myers, Florida preparing for the Atlantic Sun Championships beginning Wednesday at Florida Gulf Coast. The Lady Bisons are the No. 2 seed and have a first round bye.

The Academic All-Conference Team recognizes student-athletes who excel both on the field and in the classroom and exemplify the A-Sun's mission of Building Winners for Life. All the members of the team boast a 3.30 cumulative grade point average or better and participated in at least half of their team's games.
