Young's no-hitter gives Ryman 300th win

NASHILLVE, Tenn. - Kelly Young fired a no-hitter in her Lipscomb softball debut stopping IUPUI 8-0 Saturday afternoon in the Music City Classic at Draper Diamond at Smith Stadium.

It was also the 300th career win for Lipscomb coach Kristin Ryman.

The game was called after five innings due to the run rule lead.

The Lady Bisons scored four runs in the third sparked by a two-RBI double by Paige Neely.

They added one in the fourth and three in the fifth.

Freshman first baseman Caitlin Plocheck hit the first home run of her college career, a solo shot to left in the fifth.

The Lady Bisons are back in action at 5:40 against Indiana State.
