NASHVILLE, Tenn. – With five home games spread out amongst four dates, Lipscomb’s fall softball schedule will give fans plenty of chances to see the 2017-18 squad.
Opening weekend will feature two contests for the Purple and Gold. The fall slate will start Friday with an early Battle of the Boulevard tilt at Draper Diamond at 5:00 p.m. The team will then turn around and head to Knoxville for their only fall ball away game on Sunday afternoon.
The second week of the fall will see the Lady Bisons stay at home for four games. A doubleheader on October 7 against Trevecca will precede single games against Union on Oct. 8 and Vol State on Oct. 11.
Lipscomb’s doubleheader against Trevecca will be two seven-inning affairs while the rest of the games, all single contests, will be nine or ten innings.
The NCAA allows for a maximum of eight total fall scrimmages, however due to scheduling conflicts and previous engagements, Ryman and her staff have only been able to secure six games so far. The possibility remains for two more games to be added later to the schedule.
