Senior Day, Alumni Weekend on tap for softball's JU series

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Lipscomb softball team is set for a busy weekend as the Lady Bisons host ASUN foe Jacksonville for a three-game series with Senior Day and Alumni Weekend festivities on tap.

Lipscomb (23-10, 3-3) and the Dolphins (21-16, 3-0) will begin play on Saturday with a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. with game two beginning at approximately 3 p.m.

On Sunday, the two teams will close out the series with a 1 p.m. matchup.

Alumni Weekend will kick off Friday with a 6 p.m. dinner in the Allen Arena South Concourse.

On Saturday, there will be a coffee and hot chocolate bar at 12:20 in the newly unveiled deck area past the outfield wall at Draper Diamond, followed by an introduction of alumni on the field prior to the game. Lipscomb's two newest Hall of Famers, Erin Hall Fletcher and Kelli Dobbins Hasley, will be throwing out the first pitch.

A deck presentaion will take place between games on Saturday.

Senior Day presentaions will commence on Sunday as the Lady Bisons honor two four-year contributors: Abby Fenichel and Caitlin Plocheck. Fenichel’s sister, Danielle Baker, is also a senior for the Dolphins.
