ATLANTA, Ga. – Lipscomb senior outfielder Graysen Gladden has been named the ASUN Player of the Week for April 1. The ASUN office announced the award Monday.
Gladden, from Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, was a co-winner. She shared the honor with Liberty infielder Jaclyn Amader.
Gladden was the leader of the Lipscomb offense as the Lady Bisons finished the weekend 2-1 against North Florida and 3-1 for the week.
She led Lipscomb with a .714 batting average going 10-for-14 at the plate for the week in four games, including an 8-3 win over Tennessee Tech.
In addition, she was a perfect four-for-four in steals. She set a new team game high for stolen bases with three in Sunday’s 13-0 win over North Florida. She has 14 for the season.
Gladden has a five-game hitting streak, the longest active streak on the team.
Gladden also scored five runs for the week with 12 total bases and three runs batted in.
She compiled a .857 slugging percentage and a .733 on base percentage.
Gladden hit safely in all four games including a three-for-three effort against Tennessee Tech.
She went three-for-four scoring three runs Sunday to help the Bisons clinch the weekend series against the Ospreys.
