ATLANTA – For the second time this season Lipscomb softball’s Hannah DeVault has been named the ASUN Player of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Monday.
The junior second baseman earned the honor after a productive weekend. As the Lady Bisons took two of three in a weekend series against North Alabama, DeVault batted a blazing .833, going 5-6.
She tallied four runs scored, two doubles, five RBI, 10 total bases, and four walks drawn, all team highs. She also blasted a home run to deep left field in game one of the series.
Her slugging percentage and on-base percentage were stellar for the weekend, at 1.667 and .900 respectively.
DeVault now leads the ASUN in both RBI with 41 and doubles with 16. She sits in second in home runs (8) and slugging percentage (.636), third in walks (24), fifth in runs (30), ninth in hits (42), eighth in OBP (.429), and 12th in batting average (.326).
DeVault and the Lady Bisons will be back on the mound on Friday for a doubleheader at Draper Diamond against Stetson.
