NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The outcome of the first game in the ASUN series between Lipscomb and Stetson will not be decided until Saturday.
Rain was the ultimate winner Friday at Draper Diamond at Smith Stadium. With Lipscomb leading 2-0 with one out in the bottom of the third inning the game was called.
Hannah DeVault hit an RBI-double and Sarah Higgins added an RBI-single to account for the runs in the bottom of the second.
Mandy Jordan was in the circle for Lipscomb.
It was the second time the game was halted. It was restarted the first time after a rain delay of two hours and forty-five minutes.
The incomplete game will be played Saturday at 10 a.m. with another game following.
Senior Day will also be celebrated.
