ATLANTA – Lipscomb’s Mandy Jordan was named the ASUN Softball Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Monday.
The win was the seventh of Jordan’s career and the second this year, coming in the final week of the regular season.
The Camden, Alabama native made appearances in all three games of Lipscomb’s ASUN regular season championship-clinching weekend sweep of FGCU.
She went 2-0 in two starts with two-complete game shutouts and earned her fourth save of the season in her third appearance.
In 18 innings pitched, she allowed no runs, one walk, and six hits, while dealing 10 strikeouts.
Jordan and the No. 1 seed Lady Bisons will play their first game of the ASUN Tournament on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the FGCU Softball Complex. They will take on the winner of Wednesday’s first round matchup between No. 4 North Alabama and No. 5 Kennesaw State.
