Jenna Panatier will join the Lipscomb University volleyball program as an assistant coach.

Panatier is leaving her head coaching position at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y., where she has directed the program since June 2002. She spent four seasons with Colgate. She also was head coach of the Occidental College volleyball team in Los Angeles, Calif., four seasons before going to Colgate.

"We are very excited with the addition of Jenna to our team," said Lipscomb volleyball coach Brandon Rosenthal. "She brings a wealth of knowledge from her numerous years of head coaching experience.

"It is very exciting to bring in a coach of her caliber. Jenna's coaching and playing experience will continue to elevate the level of our program. This is a truly exciting time for the Lipscomb volleyball program."

She will work primarily in the areas of recruiting, assisting in practice planning and match strategy, monitoring academic progress and day-to-day operations.

Panatier graduated from St. John's University in 1998 cum laude with a B.S. degree in Sports Management. She was a charter member of the first team at St. John's. Panatier served as captain of the team for three seasons, winning the MVP Award in 1995 and St. John's Outstanding Woman in Sports Award in 1998.

Off of the court she also excelled. She was named Academic All-American from 1996-1998. She was a member of the Big East Conference Academic All-Star Team from 1995-1998.

Panatier will be working on her Masters of Business Administration degree at Lipscomb.
