Volleyball and MTSU cancel Friday’s match

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb and Middle Tennessee State volleyball teams reached a mutual agreement to cancel Friday's scheduled match between the two schools.

MTSU was dealing with a depleted roster down the stretch.  Both programs decided that it was not in their best interest to play the match.

Both teams were knocked out of their first match of their respective conference tournaments.

The Lady Bisons lost to No. 3 ETSU in the A-Sun Tournament 3-1 (19-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-20) in the semifinal round.  ETSU went on to win the tournament.

Kaycee Green was named on the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team with a match-high 22 kills, 5.50 kills per set.

MTSU lost to third-seeded North Texas in the Sun Belt Tournament 3-1 (21-25, 23-25, 25-23, 22-25) in the opening round.

The Lady Bisons finish the season at 18-12 overall and 15-3 in the A-Sun.  The Blue Raiders finished their season at 10-23, 7-8 in the Sun Belt.
