Lady Bisons bounce back with 3-1 win at UT-Martin

The Lady Bisons spotted Tennessee-Martin one game and then went on to win the match 3-1 Thursday night at the Skyhawk Fieldhouse at Martin.

The Lady Bisons lost the first game 30-26 and then won the next three games by scores of 30-26, 30-25 and 30-25.

It was the sixth straight time the Lady Bisons have beaten Tennessee-Martin, an Ohio Valley Conference member.

The Lady Bisons rebounded from a 3-1 loss Tuesday night at Belmont in Atlantic Sun Conference action. The Lady Bisons are 4-1 against OVC teams this season.

Freshman setter Stefine Pease posted a season-high .667 hitting perce ntage. Junior outside hitter Sarah Snider made a match-high 18 kills. It was the 18th time this season Snider has posted a match-high in kills and her 21st time to finish in double figures in kills.,p> Also in double figures in kills were middle blockers Alex Kelly with 15 and Alex Scruggs with 12.

Senior libero Ann Mullins posted a team-high 15 digs. Pease added 13 and senior defensive specialist Grace Gilmore chipped in with 10.

Lauren Montague led Tennessee-Martin with 12 kills. Anna Gautreau finished with a match-high 21 digs.

UT-Martin has lost six straight matches. They took Murray State to five games in their last outing but lost 3-2.

The Lady Bisons are 15-10 overall, winning nine of their last 10 games. Tennessee-Martin is 9-17.
