The Lipscomb Lady Bisons continue to build on their outstanding numbers this season with a 3-0 Atlantic Sun Conference match win Friday night at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C.

Senior middle blocker Alex Scruggs needed only one kill to reach 1,000 for her career. She finished with seven.

"It is a milestone for a middle blocker," Lipscomb coach Brandon Rosenthal said. "I am really happy for her\. When I recruited her five years ago I would have been very happy back them if I had known she was going to have a thousand kills."

The Lady Bisons won the games by scores of 30-18, 30-23 and 30-19.

Freshman middle blocker Alex Kelly posted her first match-high of the season in kills with 13. Scruggs had a .600 hitting percentage and Kelly posted a .462 percentage.

"I was real happy with what they did in the middle, especially hitting percentagewise," Rosenthal said. "It really established them early on."

Senior outside hitter Sarah Snider finished with 12. Snider also made four service aces.

Senior libero Ann Mullins made a match-high 16 digs.

No Campbell player finished in double figures in kills.

Melissa Harvey led Campbell with 14 digs. Taylor Deering added 11.

The Lady Bisons are 7-3 in the Atlantic Sun, 16-10 overall. Campbell slipped to 2-8 in the conference, 9-18 overall.
