NASHVILLE, Tenn.-Sophomore Lauren Ford was named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association Player of the Week for volleyball announced by the TSWA Tuesday.
Ford was previously named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week Monday as she tallied 58 kills and 25 digs during the four matches played last week.
The Lenexa, Kan. native also had one assist, one solo block and one block assist and averaged 4.83 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .245.
Ford was named All-Tournament team in the Arizona Invitational where she had 46 kills and 16 digs including setting a career-high twice in the same day with 19 kills in a 3-0 defeat of Iona and a 3-0 loss to TCU.
Ford barely missed a double-double against in-state foe Austin Peay on Tuesday, Sept. 4th. She had 12 kills, nine digs and a hitting percentage of .333.
