FORT MYERS, Fla. – The Lipscomb Lady Bisons will face the No. 4-seeded Northern Kentucky Norse in the semifinals of the Atlantic Sun Conference Volleyball Tournament.
The match will begin at 4 p.m. CT Friday and will be broadcast live on ESPN 3.
The Norse are the only A-Sun team the Lady Bisons, 20-7, 13-1 in the conference, lost to this season.
“We are ready,” Lipscomb coach Brandon Rosenthal said. “We are looking forward to the match.”
The Lady Bisons watched video following breakfast Thursday and then spent some time at the beach before going through an afternoon workout. They earned a first round bye as the No.1 seed.
The Norse advanced to the semifinals after coming from behind to beat No. 5 Stetson 3-2 Thursday night at Alico Arena on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast.
“It is a positive to have a bye if you do something with it,” Rosenthal said. “Northern Kentucky played a tough five-set match. We will have to come out and establish some things early against them.”

THREE ROADS TO THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
The Lady Bisons have three possible roads they can travel to the NCAA Tournament.
If they win the Atlantic Sun Tournament they would receive the conference’s automatic bid.
However, if Northern Kentucky wins the tournament the Lady Bisons would still get the conference’s automatic bid. Northern Kentucky is still not eligible for the NCAA Tournament and the Lady Bisons, as the regular season champions, would receive the automatic bid.
If neither of those situations occurs the Lady Bisons could possibly land an at-large bid as they ranked 32nd in the NCAA Division I RPI this week.
