Volleyball moves up to No. 31 in latest RPI

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb volleyball team got some good news Monday as they moved into the No. 31 spot in the NCAA Division I RPI, another program high.

The Lady Bisons are waiting until Sunday when the NCAA pairings will be announced. Having lost 3-1 to Jacksonville Saturday afternoon in the Atlantic Sun Conference championship the Lady Bisons are counting on an at-large bid for their fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The closest A-Sun team in the ratings is Florida Gulf Coast at No. 84.

The latest team and individual statistical rankings were also announced Monday.

Setter Kayla Ostrom is 19th in the country in assists per set with 11.23.

Outside hitter Lauren Ford is 43rd in total kills with 448. She is 66th in kills per set with 3.83.

As team the Lady Bisons are 36th in assists with 1,493 and 60th in assists per set with 12.76.

They are 45th in kills with 1,588 and 75th in kills per set with 13.57.

The Lady Bisons, 21-8, are 56th in the country with a .724 won-lost percentage.

Coach Brandon Rosenthal scheduled practices for the team Monday and Tuesday before releasing the playersWednesday to spend Thanksgiving with their families.
